Bengal Tiger
(Panthera Tigris)

Bengal Tigers are increasingly endangered and are much more difficult to see and to photograph than African felines. Which makes this eye closeup, taken from an elephant, a very special one, one of my best wildlife images. Bandhavgarh is a small Tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh, right in the middle of the Indian subcontinent. It offers very high chances of good Tiger sightings, although sometimes the sightings are crowded.
