Tree Frog Tadpoles
Tree Frog Tadpoles

Red-eyed Tree Frogs (Agalychnis callidryas) lay their eggs in lumps stuck on a leaf overhanging a shady pond. When the tadpoles are ready, they will simply fall in the water. In this shot, near a lodge in Tortuguero, the morphology of the tadpoles, still inside the eggs, is clearly visible.
