Mouflon female and calf

Mouflons in Cazorla are very shy and difficult to be seen. Only by going to the highest parts of the park one has a small chance. To take this picture of a mouflon mother and her calf, we had to drive to one of the highest parts of the park, and then climb for more than an hour until we reached the summit of Cabeza de Tejo, nearly 2,000m high. Only from that vantage point I was able to photograph the mouflons, which were more than 200m below us. Even from that distance, the female saw me almost immediately, and started to show signs of nervousness. They fled after a short while, which gave me a few precious minutes to get my very first mouflon image.
