Antelopes are really beautiful animals: gracile, slender, elegant. Sadly, they also play an essential role in the energy chain: they take the energy of the sun from vegetal matter and pass it to the predators as meat and fat. In fact, thanks to this eternal confrontation they are so elegant: in a kind of evolutionary arms race, they become ever more gracile and fast as the carnivores become stronger and faster. In other words, without cheetah, we would not have gazelles... and viceversa.

Los antilopes son a veces realmente espectaculares: gráciles, elegantes... Trsitemente, también juegan un papel esencial en la cadena trófica, capturando la energia del sol a través de la materia vegetal, y pasándola a los depredadores como carne y grasa. De hecho, en un especie de carrera armamentística evolutiva, los antílopes se han ido haciendo mas gráciles y elegantes para poder escapar de unos depredadores cada vez mas fuertes y veloces. Es decir, que sin guepardos, no habría gacelas... y viceversa.
