Indian Wild Dog
Indian Wild Dogs (Cuon Alpinus) or Dholes behave exactly as African Wild Dogs do - they are highly social, and hunt in packs. They are gorgeous animals, with their intelligent expression and cinnamon colour.
They are not exactly dogs - i.e. they do not belong to the genus Canis. They differ by the reduced number of molars and greater number of teats.
UICN: Endangered.
